Whether you’re sailing, fishing – or just walking in the sun, a great hat is essential to keep you protected from the sun’s harsh UV rays – especially in Tasmania!

A great hat should:

  • Be made of natural fibre – so that it breathes well
  • Have a broad brim that extends all the way around and protects your face, neck & ears
  • Feature a good string with an easy adjuster to hold it on your head in the wind
  • Have a reinforced brim at the front so that it doesn’t get blown over your eyes in the wind
  • Be light in colour so it doesn’t absorb too much heat
  • Be stylish, you are comfortable wearing it in any situation

A hat that suits all of these requirements is hard to come by, but luckily Franklin Marine have done all of the hard work for you.

We’ve sourced some fantastic canvas sailing hats that tick all the boxes in a full range of sizes to keep your head cool and protected.
