Yukon at Franklin Marina We’re proud to have the Danish tall ship “Yukon” as a long-term resident at Franklin Marina. “Yukon” has returned to her traditional dark green topsides when recently slipped after sporting a light grey for tropical waters. Owners Ea and David Nash are enjoying a few months ashore in a house after living aboard with their two sons for several years on the passage out.

Yukon at the Wooden Boat festival

The Wooden Boat Festival is on 8-11 of February and is a must see for all boaters. The Yukon will be quite a feature.

At the last show over 150,000 people saw over 300 boats on the water and a 100 ashore.

If you haven’t been to Tassie lately this is a great time of year to travel south.

Come visit Franklin to visit the world-famous Wooden Boat Centre and drop in to see us at Franklin Marine.

By car we are a scenic 30 minutes south of Hobart on the way to Dover and Research Bay. Watch out for more news here about the Wooden Boat Festival.

Go cruising on the Yukon after the Wooden Boat Festival

Cruise on the YukonAfter the show “Yukon” is going for a cruise down the channel for several days. Berths are available for this great chance to see Tasmanian waters on a Danish Lugger.

For $260 a day fully catered it’s a great way to finish off a trip south for the show. You can book a trip on “Yukon” at Franklin Marine. See more at yukon-tours.dk.
