Raymarine have just released an update to their free Wi-Fish app that works with the Dragonfly PRO and Wi-Fish systems.

The update adds an “Augmented Reality” feature that takes advantage of your smartphone or tablet’s GPS, Compass and Camera functions to create a next-generation marine navigation experience.

When enabled, the new AR view overlays your waypoints right over a 360° live camera feed from your phone with their symbology, bearing and range.

Wi-Fish Augmented Reality Feature

You can hold your phone in your hand and pan around 360 degrees to see all of your waypoints and fishing hot spots right there – in the real world!

This augmented reality view will make finding your favourite fishing spots both fun and easy.
